Plant power meets luxury scents. Every detergent in this collection is a fine-fragrance, plant-based formula, ultra-concentrated into a refillable stainless steel tin.
This is the best smelling laundry detergent we know how to make: a lineup of scents built like perfume, trusted by 100,000+ customers and rated 4.8 stars across 40,000+ reviews. Long-lasting scent you can still smell days after the wash, with no parabens, phthalates or phosphates.
What makes a laundry detergent smell good (and keep smelling good)
Most detergents and laundry soaps carry one flat note that rinses out by the time your clothes are dry. Ours are built the way a perfume is built, with top notes you catch first, heart notes in the middle, and base notes that hold on.
Those base notes are the trick. Sandalwood, amber, tonka bean and musk are heavy, slow molecules that cling to fabric through the heat of the dryer and weeks in a drawer. They are the reason the scent is still there days later.
The formula does the rest. Because every tin is ultra-concentrated and enzyme-powered, the fragrance is not watered down across a jug of liquid. A little goes on each load, and the scent lands where you want it.
Find your scent: fresh, floral and sweet, or warm and woody
Every one of our scented laundry detergents falls into one of three families. Start with the mood you want your laundry to leave behind.
Fresh and clean
Central Coast layers sandalwood, citrus and sea salt into something coastal and airy. Malibu Mornings adds sweet violet, ambrette and cedar. Both wear well on sheets and towels, the kind of clean that smells like an open window.
Floral and sweet
This is the gourmand end, the one people mean when they say a detergent smells like perfume. Sugar Dew is tropical fruit, citrus and hibiscus. Desert Poppy brings poppy, ambrette and tonka bean. Vanilla Moon rounds it out with vanilla, coffee bean and white flower.
Warm and woody
The cologne end of the lineup, and a favorite for anyone shopping the best smelling laundry detergent for men. Signature Cozy is amber, clean cotton and soft florals; Alpine Woods is fresh pine, patchouli and sandalwood. For a gift-ready set, the Cologne Set pulls the woody scents together.
Prefer nothing at all? Free and Clear is the same clean formula with no fragrance. Not sure which scent is yours? The 9-pack sample kit lets you try the full lineup before you commit.
Clean ingredients, seriously clean clothes
A great scent and a short, readable ingredient list can live in the same tin. Every formula is plant-based and enzyme-powered, built to cut sweat, body oil and everyday stains without a synthetic-perfume residue.
What we leave out counts too. Every tin is phosphate free and free from the parabens and phthalates you find on other labels, which is what we mean by no hormone disruptors (paraben and phthalate free).
The tin itself is the eco upgrade: an eco stainless steel tin that uses 97% less plastic than a standard jug, made to be refilled again and again. Our full ingredient list is public.
How to get the most scent out of every load
Dose and water do most of the work. Use 1 to 2 tablespoons for a normal load and up to 4 for a big one, measured with the Mozi cup. Our dosing guide has the full breakdown.
Do not cram the drum. Fragrance needs room and water movement to bind to fabric, so a packed machine washes scent right back out. Warm water opens the fragrance up; cold keeps it subtle.
To stretch it further, pair Mozi dryer balls and a linen spray with your detergent, or build your bundle and save. For more, read our guide on how to make your laundry smell good.
